Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding the situations. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
